Re: The Official Cricket Thread

In 50 Over cricket Dhoni is a god with is tactics as captain and finishing ability dont get me wrong but his test captaincy is questionable. I actually have India pencilled in as one of the favourites to win the 50 Over World Cup next year along with Australia. Cook can be given an excuse cause hes relatively new to be being beatten and in fairness he did lose Gramee Swann and Anderson wasnt at his best either. After all he did captain the team that beat India in India. The real difference between the Aussies and Poms in the Ashes was really Mitchell finishing off the tail whereas England couldnt.
Anderson and Broad have a terrible away from home record, anderson relies on english conditions to swing the ball and broad has taken 3 times as many wickets at home than overseas and has played roughly the same amount of games at home and overseas so england were always gonna struggle unless those two could turn it around. Swann was playing with a dud arm for the first 3 games as well which didnt help.

India are the number one ranked ODI team so it wouldnt be too much of a surprise if they won the world cup tbh

Yeah too many disruptions for England in their test.

Yaaaayyyyyy!!!! I hope they win again!! ;)

Aahaha! I love it when Clarke bowls those random overs! The awkward silence with the commentators is priceless.

+1, best batsman in the world atm is either Kohli, Pujara, Amla or De Villiers (all are much better than Clarke and play spin as good if not better)

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Heyy Guys!! Let's have a prediction for the next ODI with eng vs aus.

I'm gonna bring some optimism into England and say that they're gonna win this next match but only just. They'll probably bat second, cause the aussie skipper will wanna show off his batsmen. Broad will probably pick up his form and take a few wickets. Then England will bat, and Morgan will probably scrape off a half-century, or maybe even more. I still have hope for England!!

Who's gonna be bold and make a prediction ? ;)
yayy I predicted right about the winn. Anyone wanna predict the results for the Adelaide ODI?

Haha nice prediction! I think we should start a prediction competition thing when the World T20 starts in March-April! It'd be fun :p

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Yayyy! That'd be mad! We should create a thread on that! I'll be off studying for HSC though :(

Anyways, my prediction on the next ODI in Adelaide:

England will bat second as they will win the toss and elect to bowl first.
Stokes would probably put up a good score again, as well as Morgan (if he's pushed up in the order, which I think he deserves).
Bresnan will pick up the most wickets/and or Broad.

Yayyyy England's batting second !! England could have totally won the series 3-2 man, if only Faulkner didn't intervene !
