what about leaving out one question because you didnt see it? >.< and getting 99% for it makes you want to hit yourself XD.
and getting all the hard ones right, and getting all the easy ones wrong, making you average in total.
and there are miraculous cases where 1 turns into a 7 which later in the working process turns into a 2 then to a 5. =). love it.

Not an exam, just a class assignment.
I was doing a parametrics question. I wasn't confident with parametrics because I hadn't done it in aaaaaaages. I had x's everywhere and thought I must have done something wrong that was parametrics related such as differentiating wrong etc.
What happened was I SUBSTITUTED wrong D: derivative is x/2a and the point was x=2ap. I wrote the gradient was px D: What the hell?! I multiplied it!

I lost 8 marks out of 50 3 years ago for this.

exact same thing happened in my last 3Unit exam
it was out of 36 or something like that and i totally didnt see the last question so lost six marks
still came second though

During a simple long addition at the beginning of an answer:

3+6 = 10

And the mistake then carried through the entire question.

Thank goodness for CFPA (correct for previous answer)

That happened to me in a 3unit exam and I didn't finish the test. Still came third though.
