Re: The Official A-League Thread.
I mean no offence to Terry, but:
1. Sydney has always promoted itself as the glamour, bling, galaticos of Australia wannabe type of club. Now a smart man in charge would make a decision to hire a gaffa based on the style that would suit the club and would complement them on and off the field, in terms of personality and value.
2. Terry Butcher, was always a typical hard working, physical type of player and a more belligerent like coach. Now why would a club trying to promote a sense of flair and glamour type of image marketing wise contradict itself by bringing in a coach that is totally opposite, in terms of philosophy. Of course, that leads to distress, doesn't take a genius to figure it out!
Anyways, with the salary cap shenanigan and other mismanagement all should ring a bell to Sydney FC that maybe running a football club also requires people who know abit about the game, for starters it is a round ball and you kick it for the most parts.
Nothing really wrong with the squad. But, Terry Butcher, I mean c'mon! Whoever made that decision on behave of Syd FC to hire him should be sacked. That just comes down to poor knowledge of running a club and poor knowledge of football in general.sk1001 said:Sydney are retarded fullstop. They think they need this gimmicky high profile marquee BS. Oh we have a Hollywood shareholder, let's get an international coach (one who was pwned back in 86 by marradonna albeit)!
