Re: The Official Football Thread

I have to say that Chelsea winning the CL would be tasty.

With all the money Abramovich spent on AVB, it would be ironic if Di Matteo won it for the club.

Just goes to show how money doesn't buy trophies in the long-term.

If its a bayern v chelsea final, what are the barca and madrid fans going to do with the tickets they bought in the final, probably start some riot.

They'll sit there as neutrals.

With an impartial referee, another solid defensive display and a bit of luck we can certainly do it at the nou camp. But what are the odds of that happening...

Re: The Official A-League Thread.

I was hoping Vukovic would save it...

But yeah, just like Australia v Italy 2006.

Personally, I watched the game as a neutral and... it did kinda suck to see them win like that. At times the game was pretty bad, but it did get so much better. Unfortunately it ended in... well, controversy.

Would have preferred an Everton win for obvious reasons but fair play regardless.

As for us, Champions League football looks a real possibility. Who would have thought considering two seasons ago, we were in the Championship.

Re: The Official Football Thread

Lol why do I seem to find threads like these so late?

As a United supporter must say that was terrible defending in the 2nd half. Letting go of 3 points like that. SMH.

Though it does make things interesting for a neutral supporter. I still reckon we got the title in our hands :)

Must beat City next game and should be sweet.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you there. You've opened a 8 point gap against City (even though they have a game in hand), and I find it difficult to see them taking the lead again with 5 games to go. Presuming they win against Wolves and then beat Manure, it would leave you with 85 points and City with 83 points. You'll probably just clinch it.

Lol Manure oh how I love hearing that phrase be tossed around by Arsenal supporters and alike.

Sports Direct Arena FC is doing quite well I'd doubt Tottenham will catch you guys in 4th place. The French signings have definitely worked for you guys this season with a healthy Ben Arfa and Cabaye in midfield. Cisse is on fire as well. Don't know what happened to Ba after the African Cup. Just lost form lol.

Champions League is a big call! Maybe Europe League more like it? Hahaha jks.
