Looking forward to the new season with the new Western Sydney team. will be massive cudos to the ffa if they can get a good club up and running in just five months. massive risk!

I'm planning to be a season ticket holder. I don't... watch enough football these days and it kinda sucks :(

Re: The Official Football Thread

spain have become very predictable in all honesty
they're still virtually unbeatable though. italy are probably the closest anyone has come to beating them at a competitive level in recent history. by playing a high line of defence (a massive risk against spain) italy, virtually tried to fight fire with fire and to be fair they probably deserved the win.
still don't know why del bosque played a 4-6-0 against them though :s

Re: The Official Football Thread

not really, italy carved spain open a number a times and probably should've won and then croatia probably should've beaten them

can't really consider their win over ireland since the irish were more than disappointing

possession is all well and good but they've lost their end product and it's goals that win you games

The swiss beat them in 2010.
