I just entered my trial exam marks into SAM and I got a UAI of 35.25. lol. That's hilarious. Probably not as funny as I think it is. But that's a great example of Murphy's Law. I tried soooo damn hard and I failed almost every subject miserably. I got around 30 in most subjects and 81 for IT. Maybe I'm not cut out for school? Who else thinks that this situation is funny? It's strange because I should be stressing right now but instead I'm laughing.
(by the way, isn't 30 the lowest UAI a person could get?)

SAM does NOT accept trial marks. That's why the UAI result it gave you is low.

Typically, the huge majority of students receive a HSC mark that is above 50 after the aligning process.

Just inputting trial marks is not the right thing to do.

Yeah, I thought everyone came to this website to estimate their UAIs--I joined up for that very purpose, and didn't find out about the forums till about 1 to 2 months after I joined. I must admit, I was over-enthusiastic, using my Year 11 exam marks. Needless to say, those were even poorer predictors than trial marks, but which served as an extremely good motivator
