Half Yearlies

HELP!!!!

Could i still save my HSC if i stuffed up most of my half yearlies which range from 20% to 30 % of my school mark.

The rest of my half yearly exams are next week and I have pretty much failed maths so here's to hoping that it doesn't really matter lol

I've so far done 4 out of 7 half yearly exams and know for sure that i failed the maths extension 1 which i did yesterday but as i have two assessments left throughout the year for extension i'll try make it up then.

On the other hand ur school might make really hard tests and remember ur final hsc exams are 50% of ur mark so make sure u do well in them.

my school make hard exams, its lik the people whu do 3unt do reali well, but then the rest of us whu dont do 3unt jst pass, wuld this effect scaling?

I will give you my experience.

After half yrlies I was ranked 11/13 in adv eng, by the end of trials I was 3/13. There's nothing that says you can't climb back up, just need to work hard or wish others fall behind (recommend you the first option).

But sigh~~~I miss the HSC days....

I screwed up my half yearlies

When i received my phy paper which i only got 56/98,
I rushed to the toilet and cried for a whole lesson.. and went home continued crying.. for 2days...
Top mark is 90 and most people got 70+
My ranking will be really low..
If i want to climb up the ranking, do I really have to come first in every assessment afterwards?
Thats really hard for me.. and nearly impossible..
I stuffed up my HSC...
I ruined my life totally ...........

Well you don't have to be first, but the higher your marks for the other exams, the better off you'll be. And if you ace your externals that will do a lot to bring up your marks.

For of all comiserations on the result, i hate that feeling of knowing you could have done alot better etc. You have not ruined your HSC and have def not ruined your life! How much was it worth? Just work alot harder at physics and try to attain marks that more reflect your ability. If you haven't already made detailed summary books using syllabus d.p then a strongly suggest for you to do this. Just work as hard as you need to to get the marks ( UAI) that you need! Goodluck with the rest of the year...

dont let that bring you down all you neeed to do is CONCENTRATE ON THE MASSIVE TRIALS + HSC. may i ask where you went wrong in your physics paper?
