I think "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold is a great book, even though i dont really believe in an afterlife i found this book addictive. Anyone read it?

I read it two years ago, from what I remember I quite liked it.
Though the neighbour, god I could get the descriptions of that creep out of my head

i liked it until the very end bit (when it got weird)...well actually, not liked, because it wasn't really that engrossing or anything. but it was an interesting approach i guess...

We actually did a whole module on this novel in year 11. At first I liked it because it was a very easy read and the characterisation was great. But the ending just seemed a little too abrubt for me. The gory description of her death also freaked a couple of people out.

It was an interesting exploration of the afterlife but not something I neccessarily agree with...

it is a good, easy to read book. peter jackson is making it into a movie. interesting.
