to be perfectly honest, ive only heard one or two daath songs and they didnt really tickle my fancy, never really was into black metal anyway, drums are far too simplistic and quite frankly the vocals just annoy me!

Heh. It's kinda true, but they do the best job of it. I saw them last year. it was entertaining, though with that many instruments it got a bit messy at times. For once i can say the mix was a little loud too

Well they can, but Sam got off his fucking chops when I saw them in '06 and Herman had to carry the show.

'08 might turn out to be an epic metal year though. Great concerts and lots of ace albums being released.

I'm buying Carcass tickets soon.

In September/October alone metal bands I will be seeing will be Carcass,Testament and Opeth (not counting all their support acts as well). Coupled with Maiden in Feb it really is going to be a great year.

I'm not going to see Priest because Gold standing is simply too expensive - $150? No way am I going to be anywhere apart from right at the front so there's no point in going. And Dragonforce is boring so I'm not going to waste my time/money on them. Might go see Down though.
