Yes, that is why I currently despise women's tennis. With the exception of Henin, Mauresmo and Molik (off the top of my head, there are probably a couple more), all the women play exactly the same way - all have two handed backhands and stand on the baseline and just hit the ball as hard as they can. Incredibly boring.

The men's tour was pretty poor too when Hewitt was no.1, however it's improved greatly in the last couple of years, mainly thanks to Federer who has a multi-dimensional game and is playing some of the most beautiful tennis the world has ever seen. I wish someone would pay Roddick to stop playing though, god he's awful.

I really really really really want a Lindsay/Kim final at the US OPEN and I can't decide who I want to win it more. Plus i'm actually beginning to like Sharapova too now. She handled her defeat by Venus with absolute class, so i want her to do well.

Contrary to what everyone thinks though, I don't think Venus is completely back. That was 2 weeks of amazing tennis but it was on her best surface grass where she has made the final every year but last yr (and that was Sprems fluke win aided by Ted Hughes). Serena won the AO and everyone thought we would see domination from her but that hasn't happened. Everyone is jumping on the Venus bandwagon but she wont win the US OPEN (ok i just don't want her too).

Roger is going to have to play really bad for Andy to win!
