was suprised when djite wasnt named in the 22 man squad to play uzbekistan.McDonald isn't really fat, hes just stout.
He is a good player, he links up well with Kennedy I guess just with all those high crosses into the box he can't get up for one like Jesus can
He is more of a "fox in the box" striker who burys anything from around 6-15 yards. He can hit a shot from 18 or further but much like when Keane was at Liverpool when your not scoring for a team you lose the confidence and don't shoot as often. I'm hoping he gets and takes his next couple chances or he might not get these starts for the Socceroos again, especially with youngsters like Burns and Djite coming through.
SOCCEROOS SQUAD: Michael Beauchamp (Aalborg), Mark Bresciano (Palermo), Jacob Burns, (Unirea) Tim Cahill (Everton), David Carney (Sheffield Utd, on loan at Norwich), Scott Chipperfield (Basel), Chris Coyne (Colchester), Jason Culina (PSV Eindhoven), Adam Federici (Reading), Richard Garcia (Hull), Brett Holman (AZ Alkmaar), Mile Jedinak (Genclerbirligi), Josh Kennedy (Karlsruhe), Harry Kewell (Galatasaray), Scott McDonald (Celtic), Lucas Neill (West Ham), Jade North (Incheon), Michael Petkovic (Sivasspor), Mark Schwarzer (Fulham), Mile Sterjovski (Derby), Carl Valeri (Grosseto), Luke Wilkshire (Dynamo Moscow).
hahaha true true.Incheon and Grosseto could be interpreted in many ways also.
He isn't getting much game time in Turkey I don't think. Last I heard he was scoring reguarly in friendlies during the winter break but got injured, returned to fitness and has been a benchie/reserves striker since?was suprised when djite wasnt named in the 22 man squad to play uzbekistan.
