I really dont want Mourinho to go. For me he is a large part of the Premiership, and the spirit of the league.

Under current circumstances, considering how injury-hit Chelsea are, they are still doing very well. Yet, due to high expectations they are recieving negative press. Thats just my opinion.

Ive also been very impressed this season with the lack of diving and "gamesmanship" that Chelsea have been previously accused of (and correctly so).

Keep going Chelsea, and Mourinho, please dont go.
Is this lack of diving around when Drogba isn't on the field?... there tends to be a direct correlation.

funny how fate conspires against chelsea so much eh? let's hope santa gave them a bit of transfer money for christmas so those nasty injuries don't cause their tiny squad any more problems.

Great result for Newcastle, especially considering the average age/experiece of the team. We do need to get on with our signings though. If we get a couple of solid defenders (at least) then the midfield and attack can do the rest. Martins looks to only be improving which is great considering the clubs history of big money foreign transfer botchjobs... hopefully he develops into the exception.

I'd have to agree, Drogba is such a bad sport with all of his diving.

Ok I don't want to sound negative, but seriously, some of you people are so biased to your own clubs especially, all the Man Utd supporters, that sometimes you need to take a step back just to look how blatantly hysterical some of you sound, in terms of judging the quality of football. I mean no offence, but, at times I really can’t see many of you drawing the line between being passionate and being an over-the-top, almost one dimensional like hooligan.

All I'm saying is some of you come and declare almost an unhealthy like manner of unrequited love to a club that this thread has become more and more narrow. But, yeah I'm only saying this as like a warning to you all that as a true lover of the "world game", some people can feel abit unease with the lack of sensitivity towards after all threads, that at times don't really manifest the games issues that reflect the true beauty and unique different cultural ideologies that go into the game.

Ahhh men!!!! Feels like you haven’t left the local pubs yet.

Gee what's that suppose to mean...? That we should all be discussing more important matters than all the league results we care about...? And I don't really understand the difference between passionate and over-the-top. If you are just refering to the name calling of other rival clubs then you clearly need to lighten up a bit.

"Issues that reflect the true beauty and unique different cultural ideologies that go into the game", perhaps greater contribution from a member such as yoself would improve the quality of this thread.

High-horse? You need to chill out a bit, if something about football interests you post it and if other people are interested in discussing it they will. I'd be interested to see another view on things seeing as though most football forums are seemingly the same.

Roeder's looking at Aliadiere, Djourou and Armand Traore. If you get Djourou you'd have done well, he's class, better all round game than Senderos by some distance. I hope you don't get Aliadiere, he's the most brittle player I've ever seen. He's been at Arsenal 7 years and has missed at least 4 out of that 7 through injury. Traore I haven't really seen much but I've heard he's a rawer version of clichy, which is worrying and exciting at the same time.

Well done on beating the scum too :)

Even Benny? Not Benny of all people? He did such a good job regulating this thread as without him it would have become a Arsenal v United thread. Scary how the top 3 posters in this thread all go for United as well. I was looking forward to discussing what happened at Anfield last week with some of the scousers too :(

I like the new trolls in the thread though. That Chelsea guy even had Jimmy biting and that Rainbow Joanna looks like she could be a fun troll too.

Oh, and any of you United fans up for a sig bet for this Sunday?

In other news....

Hleb: Sheva move doomed
Arsenal's Alexander Hleb believes Andrei Shevchenko's high-profile move to Cuntski was doomed before he arrived in England.

The Ukraine international hit-man was a big-money capture last summer from Milan, but has just three Premiership goals to his name.

Hleb thinks Shevchenko was too old to make the move and that he never had a chance of adapting to the tempo of the English game.

"I would never have risked coming to England towards the end of my career," explained Hleb to the Sun.

"The older you get, the harder it gets. Shevchenko is not the first great footballer who has not managed to crown himself in glory here.

"I was never convinced he would be able to play in England. I don't have anything against him.

"The problem lies in the style of the England league, in terms of the tempo, and the time you get to think on the pitch.

"The younger a player is, the easier it is for him to adapt and get to grips with English football.
I love you Alex, please fuck United up for me this Sunday will you?

EDIT: LMF why did you stop posting with all thos z's? I thought that was your thing?

In other unrelated news.... numerous players sign astronomical wage contracts to play for teams which paid massive transfer fees for their services.

I can't believe the LA Galaxy paid so much for a player, next thing Chelski and Real Madrid will be spending shiteloads for players to wear their skirt on the field.
Heh, can't believe this post received no acknowledgement. I loved the ironic way of dismissing the news.

How dare you say that?!?!?

I demand the right for any Newcastle fan to get up on his or her soapbox and declare with total passion how underachieving our midtable-specialist team is and how Titus Bramble is the worst defender in the premier league! Nobody can take that right from us!

And as for the ManU fans... they've been doing it for years, what's going to stop them being one-dimensional now? I'm sure it's some genetic defect ;)

I grew out of postin wit my zzzz, it seems a bit strange after my last birthday. And I got tired of having to reply to all those who flame me. Don't you worry though, Arsenal truly are teh gayz.

Unfortunately yes, we have no more Scousers here any more, very very sad. And without you, no Arsenal supporters too. So for most of the past few months its been a United thread, discussing things like Larsson and how we'll beat the Chelscunts to the flag.

I'm looking forward to the game at Cashburden Grave, you guys still don't have Gallas back right...? That should be good news for us. The likes of Vidic, Evra/Heinze are much different prospects than Agger and Carragher, and Henry haven't ripped up a game against us for ages. Should be a hell of a game, I'm glad you're back just in time for a moment like this. Ronaldo to score a double and we win 2-1. :)
