I got another job now as well

I am the HR Officer at Telstra Stadium

and I have my internship at Kelly Services

I am living proof there is a job out there for everyone...I applied for over 60 jobs for about 1.5 yrs before I got any interviews...it just takes persistance and positive thinking

I just got a job after an 8 months break - 2 months overseas holiday. I'm going to work at the university's IT help desk. 12 hrs a week. Had to wait almost 1.5 months before hearing for an interview. In the mean time I was offered a job as a note taker at the university. Glad I got this help desk one as I like interacting with people.

I waited for 9 months from start to finish and they never called me for a group interview. Just 1 on 1 interview and then 'you start next week, Welcome to coles'

So yeah, it is ineffective and irregular. Instead of this online stuff i think in-store applications would be far more appropriate and efficient.

They like to keep a pool of people on hold, so they can call on anyone at anytime if need be - monopolising their job system - if that makes sense =/. Keeping people in hope and choosing when to give a job and when not.

Yay, after almost 3 months of post-HSC boredom I got my first job... working at Boost Juice, starting this Friday!!
