I got a job, which I totally dont want lol! Dunno if ill keep it (havent even started yet!)

Its a farmhand job (yes i live like right between civilisation and the bush lol) and it pays well, but I have to start at 5am and do all gross stuff.

It pays really really well though, and I desperately need a job that is more than 10 hours a week...

It starts at 5am but when does it end?
lol what kind of gross stuff?

I sometimes have to start work at 5:30am [till about 2pm]. It's not that bad if you live close by. And your body gets used to it. Maybe you can just do like weekends or something?

Its 20 bucks an hour (which is pretty good since im 18 and only get $13 at Big W).

Gross stuff includes de-sexing chicks (as in baby chickens! lol), though I possibly wont have to do that lol.

Its casual, so the shifts vary from 4-8 hours and 2-4 days a week.

And after thinking about it it is a bit far from where I live, but im not sure how far. Im going to that area tomorrow so i guess ill find out.

Im just hoping ill get this other junior receptionist job im going for. Got an interview tomorrow!

Yay!

I finally got a job! And it doesnt involve chickens!

Its a full time junior pharmacy assistant position.

I probably should find out how much they pay me huh? Award is about 400 a week for a junior though and that sounds good to me!

The only drawback is the 10 hr shifts and the really long travel time...

Thats a much better job than the chickens one, lol. Although I don't think that there would be any disputing that.

But 10 hr shift + long travel time aren't a very nice combination.

I just got a job at Coles, in grocery.

It was weird... I never went to a group interview, the store manager asked me 2 questions, and then hired me on the spot.

He said he's going to email me a link to the online induction.

Anyone know what I'm getting myself into? How does grocery work?

Yay, I got the same job I'm doing more in another store, I only have 15 minutes travel time instead of 45 and shorter hours on weekends and thursday nights!!
I only had to move from metro sydney to the south coast!

I'd rather that, than a stupidly short shift + long travel time.

You're going to get paid [8hrs] to read stuff on the computer, that's what!

i just got a job at a cafe!
very exciting...managers (run by husband and wife) are excellent, pay is good ($8.50 per hour..good for a 15 y.o) and i get free lunch, drinks and leftover food (pies, sausage rolls, cakes) otherwise the stuff gets chucked out because its made fresh everyday.

Just got a job at an outbound call centre. It's not cold calling though so it should be a fairly good job.

yay for being employed
