um....im a new led-zep fan.....just got myself acquanted wit their music a few months ago....and bought 'remasters' today for $18...thought it was a bargain. but then again, i did buy the entire doubld-cd just for 'stairway to heaven'...can any1 recommend any other good songs on that album?

You have the album don't you so just listen to em. Favourites are Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Communication Breakdown, Immigrant Song, Kashmir and Black Dog. All are pretty much classics though. 18 bucks is a fair decent bargain.

like u have the fucking album, LISTEIN TO IT!!! im sure u have an OPINION and can decide on hat songs you like on your own.
music is a personal choice.
you cant like a song cuz someone else says its good.

Personally im not a huge fan of stairway to heaven.
Musically i love listening to it.
Lyrically i dislike songs that are so abstract that i cant relate to them.
Does this song even have any meaning?
Bits i understand.
others i just think wtf.. so high when this was written..
and just focus on the melody once again.

thanks otay and bazookajoe for the recommendations....so far im enjoyin 'ramble on' 'black dog' communication breakdwn' but they're all pretty good....the guitar bit at the end of 'stairway' is FUKIN AWESOME. =)

Most people hear a song, then are interested and like it.

They proceed to find out about the band, and search for the song which they know.

They ask/listen for other recommendations and enjoy more of the music and either become bigger fans, or enjoy just a few songs.

jeeze settle down there, they are stating that they enjoy a song an they want to get into the band, thats how i got into it, listening to my dads records an playing the same song over an over again
"boogie chillin" middle part of whole lotta love, from the song remains sound track.

so dont cut someones head off becuase they like one song of the best band.....

hmm i like kashmir (on the 2nd CD) and the battle ofe vermore... thats on the remasters isnt it? also the houses of the holy and... oh taht song that goes "down by the seaside, see the boats go racing" im sure one of these die-hard fans can enlighten me as to its name...

led zep III is my fav. there's not one song i dislike on that... which is rare for me! but i think ill always like gallows pole the best. its such a classic! i think it didnt get the fame it deserved

Gallows Pole is classic but nothing on III beats Since I've Been Loving You.

Achilles' Last Stand alone would be enough to make Presence the best album, even if the rest of the songs on it sucked.

I'm really into Trampled Under Foot at the moment. Such an awesome song with the maddest riff.
Mojo Magazine, a British publication, had a Led Zeppelin special edition lately, but I haven't been able to find it in Sydney anywhere.
