Depending on what day of the week it was, I'd usually call them on a going out night soon after. For example, if I met them on thursday I'd ring em on saturday evening and just ask what's up.

i had a guy who i wasn't really that interested in call me twice within 2 hours after i left the place. it was weird, it was 3am...he could have waited till the sun came up... so yeah you don't have to wait, but calling 5 minutes after she's out of your sight is a bit extreme imo.
