These are the real confirmed answers. All of them are correct accept 15 which is questionable.

1. c
2. c
3. b
4. a
5. c^
6. a
7. c
8. b
9. b
10.a
11.d
12.b
13.a
14.d
15.b*

*There is much debate over question 15, whether it is B or D. From the poll most people put B, but this is not confirmed.

^There is also a small amount of confusion about Q 5

13/15 if 15 is b otherwise 12
got 4 wrong put c >.>
11 also wrong didn't visualise it properly and converted it so that the perpendicular part experiences the force >.> to stupid mistakes zzzz

this is how i figured out 4 - used r = ut + a/2 t^2

then since you're working in y direction, r = k.t^2

which is the same form as a graph y = root x, which looks like A

Use vertical displacement formula, sub values for height to find T and you will find it's A.

12 is a not b

Hertz incorrectly showed that the rays were not deflected by electric fields.
The paddle wheel experiment shows that the rays hold momentum, and therefore have mass - showing they are of particle nature.

They were shown to be deflected by electric fields later on when the technology of making vacuum tubes improved.

:spam: therefore 12 is A

-Explanation for 4-
I used the maths method
h''=9.8
h'=9.8t
h=0.5 times 9.8 times t^2
it is therefore an arc of a parabola, as shown it c).
You do however want H to be on the x axis as this is the independent variable. This means it is t=0.5 times 9.8 times h^2.
This is the inverse of c) and is represented by a)
Thus a is the correct answer...

nope- 12 is definately B. This was shown by JJ Thompson and it resolved the debate by showing that they were particles.

Particle nature=/=charged particle. It's B IMO.

From wiki:

These conflicting properties caused disruptions when trying to classify it as a wave or particle. Crookes insisted it was a particle, whilst Hertz maintained it was a wave. The debate was resolved when an electric field was used to deflect the rays by J. J. Thomson. This evidence was strong because scientists knew it was impossible to deflect electromagnetic waves with an electric field.

The question is asking about charged particles, proving they had momentum does not proved they are charged particles but rather normal particles. Initially they were thought to be non-charged particles as you said, and it was not untill JJ Thompson successfully deflected them with an electric field were they proven to be charged.

:spam: therefore the answer is B
