Who else out there digs Sufjan?
I think he's written some of the most beautiful songs of the last...well, ever.
He's a brilliant artist, some of his best songs are:

For the Windows In Paradise...
Chicago
Flint (For The Unemployed & The Underpaid)
John Wayne Gacy, Jr. (who else could write such a pretty song on so serious a subject?)
To Be Alone With You
Come On, Feel The Illinoise!

And such.

Much <3 for Michigan and Seven Swans, anyone bought/heard the avalanche yet? .. Was going to do the whole 'stream' thing but figured the quality would detract from the music itself

his whole states of america project could have become sickeningly patriotic, but he does the untold stories so well! The smaller stories that make a place what it is.

Sufjan is amazing. Great voice, best album of 2005, and not because pitchfork said so.

He needs to come to australia soon. Or at least before he moves onto the next US state.

Which ones do you have, absolution? I got the green Illinoise one, and yeah, it ended up costing about $20 or something like that, bargain
