Well done, 20.98 is awesome. I got a 'talking to' on thursday, apparently my scanning rate went from 19.04 - 17.57 in about two months. I blame being on express and smokeshop more, but my dept manager didn't want to hear it. He said he's only ever on express and can still manage to have a scanning rate above 20. I didn't know if I should say any more after that, so I just continued filling smokeshop.

The nearest store to us also has one of those wow-tv screens, just wanted to know where ours was. I mean, I'm sure its not that great, but I don't care. I want one because they have one.

Just came on here to say about our new plasma tv! Because no one seems to come up to our store to install shit, it got delivered except it wasnt a whole tv when we recieved it!!

More like half a tv with everything smashed to pieces :rofl:

if it's not fast enough, we get in trouble.

We had a new manager come in at the beginning of the year. She would watch us from the surveillance camera... And then call the front desk to pass on msg's. LOL.

They cant actually council you for having a scanning error.

Had a debate at our store where we have people with 5.0 I/pm and it brings our rate sometimes to the worst in WA, we also had the union in etc to talk about it.

Legally we are not able to counil you under the EBA for your scanning rate, as you may have a disability etc and it is also classed as discrimination for us to write someone up with a really bad scanning rate.

So you should really talk to your union rep or state manager because they arent allowed to do it.

What's actually involved/significant? We haven't been briefed on it, doesn't look likely either with our state of organisation.

adjustments to penalty rates (not huge, just changing when some start)
rolling together of sick leave and family leave into personal leave
6 months probation instead of 3
provisions to have unsalaried managers

also, got some safety award at the national conference for going 1500 days without a time lost injury
