I don't think I have ever sworn so much at the tills and safe as I did tonight  Only left like 45 minutes late, oops.

do u study computer science?
nope, HR/International Studies :p

It was just a general lab, filled with EDR brochures. I was concerned...

Ahhh had today off and I have tomorrow off... and I get to spend both at uni!!! Not cool.
You probably spend more time at uni than I do, and I'm (almost) a full time student, haha.

in creating an account on the EDR website, what the hell is property name in address?
I leave it empty and it says that it doesn't match details previously provided or something. >=/

um well in theory there is a page on the right hand side of the home page called 'Order Status & History' however it is highly unreliable (mine for example still says 'Warehouse' even though ive had it for months) the only other option is to just email them or give them a call, they respond pretty quickly and are very helpful :)

Quick question: when applying for an advertised position through the online thing, should I bother attaching a cover letter in addition to my resume? Will it even get read?

Ok, in the RF unit you go into 5,5,1.
Scan the shelf ticket on all the shelves which are empty, and press "N"
Then in Stock Management you can print off a Non-Local Search Report which is under Inventory.

In all likelihood, it wont be read- I know for a fact mine wasnt. Just adding a resume is one step many others dont do.

Apparantly 71
AHA.
I was confused coz they changed us in 2009!!
(reading over my old posts, in search of this BigW guy).

We were 71, then they swapped us to 73 with no notice.... then pulled a bunch of the other stores out of 73, leaving us in it, then put a bunch of random stores back in! Strange!!

:/ People don't even add their resumes? Jeez.

I ended up adding a cover letter just for the sake of it, I guess like wixxy said even if it's never looked at it can't hurt.

God I hope I get an interview, I've been applying for places for aaages. I've asked around in the store and heard that they're having trouble holding anyone down for very long with nightfill positions lately so hopefully I have a shot. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, if you go into Stock Management, go to "All Reports"... It should say Inventory Management. If you click into that, on the RHS it should have a drop-down menu with your negative stock report, non local report and a few others.

Cant tell if your being cynical? If so ignore this lol.

A Non Local is part of the AutoStockR routine, its bascially a report of stuff that is low or out on shelf, but you have somewhere.
Scan all items that are low or out of stock, if the SOH reading on the gun is more than what is on the shelf, press N.

Once youve done that, print off the non local report, login to stock management is the same as the RF Gun. Hit the Report Button, on the dropdown box select Inventory, on the list that appears under that click "inventory managment", on the right from the top dropdown select "Non Local Report", a couple of fields where it asks for deaprtment click the button next to it (from memory its [...]) find and double click your department so it jumps to the right, click ok then click print.

Now you have your report, take it, find and fill the stock. On the report say what you did, Ie write filled next to what you found etc etc

aha, I felt so sorry for my poor SSM today. He had, thoughout the day, three crying supervisors in his office, basically because my CSM doesn't really know how to be nice/polite to her staff. He was completely freaking out by the time he dealt with me :(
As much as its nice to have him on side, I felt like such an idiot.

Upshot of all of that, we should "expect major change" by July. Personally, I think its a load of bull, but you can hope, can't you.

Yep, "Non-Local Search Report"

All it is is so you can put it all on a sheet, and find the stock in the relevant stock room - if it says a count, and you are sure that you can't find the item, you can even go into Inventory Management (5,5,1) and type the reference Number, and press "a" and type in how much of the stock is there. - a is for "stock Adjust"
