If all else fails - good and evil, provided your language skills are ok you can use this for virtually any text and get away with a fairly decent mark :spzz:

The entire basis of my essay is the juxtapositioning of private life vs public office. This worked for me cause Caesar + my related text were both political allegory/thrillers.

Politics of Power - the conflicting perspectives
Does the end justify the means?

Enduring Understandings

Society determines what is acceptable and what is not.
Even though times change, basic human nature does not.
How one achieves a goal is at least as important as the goal itself.
Literary themes transcend time.

Essential Questions

Does the end justify the means?
How does a person make ethical choices?
How do people balance personal desire and responsible behavior?
Are ethics based on a universal understanding or is culture solely responsible for a definition?
How does a society decide what is good and what is not?
How can ambition be both good and bad?
How does society determine what is or is not appropriate?
How do today’s societal standards differ from past standards?
What aspects of human nature do not change?
Why does human nature remain the same?
What makes literature appeal to audiences of all ages and times?
What are the qualities and responsibilities of a good leader?
What are the key factors in determining the success or failure of a leader?
How does a leader affect a group or society?

An examination of the relationship between political power and personal conscience.

The conflicting perspectives of the Renaissance view of Caesar as a power-obsessed, corrupt tyrant destined for punishment with the modern perspective that his murder may have been ill advised.

At play's end, power itself is without a master, and the spirit of Caesar has been left unrevived: and this is revealed to be the true tragedy of Julius Caesar.
