Hi, really stupid question but what's the difference between a lecture, tutorial and seminar?

Is a tutorial just like a classroom at school?

Can anyone help me work out exactly what is conflicting here???

it means you have one or two subjects with tutes and more probably lectures on at the same time

Go to the student centre and ask them, dunno whether you'll have to change subjects or not to be completely honest.

i think the error message is for the commerce peopel because we didnt choose a major? did u guys choose a major in the online enrollment hting?

i chose one now i was thinking maybe they'll get to wokr on it...

i get that message as well, heartbroken :<

edit: i dunt think i was clear - by choosing the major/s it didnt make it work

I have 2 lectures (PHY1901 and BIOL1901) and 1 practical (BIOL1901) clashing on Mondays at 2 pm....F**K!! and I can't personalise it because there'll be a clash somewhere else!! My Timetable must be the worst timetable ever!

How the fuck does BIOL1901 manage to clash with its own practical?

EDIT: The BIOL1901 don't actually clash, look at the weeks, but yeah the physics is a problem.

Hey does there exist a lecture stream for phys1901 at tue 9am, wed 12pm, thu 9am; instead of the mon, wed, thu 2pm one? I bloody hope so, I've been put in the 2pm stream. The thing is I intend to take math2969, which i'll have to get a special permission form for, and the times for that clash with the 2pm phys lectures. Also i have to move my chem prac, coz that's over the thu 10am math1906 ssp session.
Somebody please tell me there are 2 phys1901 streams.

I know....physics sucks....i talked to one of the staff ppl and they said it's because only a few ppl study all advanced course...Now i wanna change some of my units of study to normal level!

yeh see thats the thing, i dunt think anyone chose their major thing and that stuffed it all up, they prolli wanted each major student in a particular class or something :s i have no idea to b e honest just a guess

This probably means that the clashes are so serious (multiple or insolvable clashes) that the system doesn't even bother putting it up. You'll have to go to the student centre to fix it up.

No there is only one set of PHYS1901 lectures.
