Unless you're doing comp sci! :D

Sometimes theres so much flexibility it worries me.
Yes! So many choices in CompSci
To show up or not to show, either way you can't fall behind.

4 lectures a week. (Probably) unlike your high school, the UNSW timetable is on a weekly basis.

All first year maths subjects have four one hour lectures a week.
Separated into two algebra and two calculus lectures.
Oh yeh sorry, forgot about the 2 subject topics.

Sorry, one more question. Is there anyway to find out where the lectures are from looking at timetable.unsw.edu.au ?

u can do them in summer
in normal semesters, u need to overload (or drop some of ur sci courses which I don't recommend coz it might cause timetabling problem in later yrs) and u may need permission from the school to overload... u can try enrolling anyways from myunsw.. if its accepted then i guess its ok.

i see, as I only have 3 subjects atm, math, chem, bio. I don't really want to do phys, as I heard the lecturer was a nightmare and most people failed. Thus it sounds very hard.

u shud check on www.handbook.unsw.edu.au about wad courses/subjects u can do... then check the prerequisites for each of them.. also see when they're held (semester 1 or 2).. when i said it might create timetable problems i meant.. it cud be that the subject u wanna do require u to have done something else.. or its not held in that semester.
i know in commerce many of the prerequisites r first yr subjects

Full time is 24 units of credit...the number of hours vary from course to course - the minimum number of days can be 0, since no one forces you to show up, you might just loose marks. The maximum number of days will depend on how well your timetable is scheduled.

The timetable only shows individual classes, divided by subject area.

dude you're not going to jump straight to medical micro and immunology.

first year you will be doing general sciences - chem, bio, maths, physics etc. then year by year you will narrow down till you are specifically studying your specialisation. (for medical micro and immu, you'd need to do at least chem, bio and maths. the other subject can be an elective)

to figure out what subjects you will be doing in first year, see www.handbook.unsw.edu.au or post in the science sub-forum, then use www.timetable.unsw.edu.au to figure out scheduling

but once you accept your offer, myUNSW (the online administration and enrolment website) will help you with your timetabling (it can make an automatic timetable according to your chosen subjects)

Hmm, weird - MATH2400 clashes with itself:

Lecture
Mon 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Odd weeks)
Mon 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Weekly)
Tutorial
Mon 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Weekly)

Does anybody know what's going on with that?

MyUNSW Doesn't know what's happening, it doesn't know that the tutes and lectures are alternating in different weeks.
