My physics yearly exam is tomorrow, and I need tips on how to cram one day before the big exam :D. Preliminary Physics was a bore for me, which reflects on my lack of preparation for this subject :). Should I complete:

1. The independent past papers from 2001-2005 and revise through it?
2. Write notes through my exercise book and handouts given out?
3. Dotpoint notes? (This option is a bit too late lulz)
4. Both options 1 and 2? Will I have the time?

Thanks in advance :)

...Who's posting up Physics questions in every physics related thread for someone else to answer?

Thanks for tips :). I know I'll ace all my subjects, besides Physics (100% sure I'll be dropping before the HSC).

So how did everyone go? I think I did quite well, considering I crammed and had the mindset of dropping the subject, which I still am of course :) (99% sure). The 2nd question in the exam was 'Which electromagnetic wave has the shortest wavelength?' and I put x-rays. Did anyone else have the same q? If so, it was the independent exam most likely :)

omg my xm was freakin freakin freakin hard!!!!!!!!!!!!
our school had its own paper and we all found it hard.
considering all the past papers i did last night - didnt get a single question like those ones.
only the definitions were easy. the others were more usage of principles.

overall screwed!!!!!!!111

Yeah I had Physics today. The first 45 minutes I was kind of skipping a few questions, then the next 45 minutes I managed to squeeze out every single answer. So it wasn't particularly hard, but that was the initial reaction during reading time.

Yes it does, but it wasn't included in the multiple choice. X-Rays was the next closest. Probably the easiest question in the paper.

The calculations were difficult. Understanding the formula is easy, but applying it to a certain question/situation was the difficult part in the exam :( That's what I get for cramming and not practicing q's.

I'm not entirely sure whether it was the 2008 Independent Exam or a school based exam. If anyone can clarify whether they had exactly the same question (see above) as question 2 in their exam, then it was Independent. If it was independent, then the only advice I can give to you Lisa is to work at a fast pace. Most of my friends didn't even finish the whole paper, and they're quite bright.

Good luck!

Why would you bother studying for it if you are set on dropping physics?

If I have a 11 coulomb charge and I need to find the charge in amperes, the question said that the charge lasted for 4 seconds was I meant to multilply 11 by 4?

Good question:

1. Laugh at the people who I beat, especially when they've revised weeks before the exam.
2. Excellence award (top 5 *fingers crossed*) for it.
3. Leaving my options open.
