i was wondering (this may be a silly question) but i cant do these calculations very well. any ideas how i can improve other than practice questions?

It might be helpful if you tell us exactly what you're having trouble with... using the equations? Interpreting the question?

read the text book lol... or ask your teacher, im getting one on one with him now because im like lowest of the class

Umm heres a method that allways works for me that my tutor showed me.

concentration of acid x volume of acid concentration of base x volume base
-------------------------------------------------- = -----------------------------------------
Number of moles of acid number of moles of base


Or in short hand: CA x VA CB x VB
------------ = ----------
Na NB
just get the unknown on its own like you would with a simple maths sum and solve. volume of acid/base should be in litres and number of moles of acid/base is derived from the chemical equation eg (1)HCl + (1)NaOH = NaCl + H20 so number of moles of acid would be 1 and number of moles of base would be 1.

It's faster, however if you make a mistake, then you will get no marks for the question, as you're doing it all in one go.

Concentration of acid x Volume of Acid

( CB = CA x VA / VB )


OR

please correct me if im wrong
