Heyya!
I was wondering abt how many units im gonna do for the hsc. Currently im doing 13 units, but idk if i should keep that amnt of units bcoz most ppl tell me its too hard to manage and for hsc, its too stressful.
However, if i drop a subject, it'd probably be a 2 unit subject (coz i want to keep ext 1 maths) and i'd go down to 11 units. Is 11 units ok? Like i only have 1 extra unit for back-up..and idk if thats risky or not.
Also, i dnt think i'll qualify for ext 2 math to drop a 2 U subject either.
Any advice or suggestions would be great.
Thank you. =]

looks to me like you are falling for peer pressure "most ppl tell me its too hard to manage and for hsc". what do they know?

some people are good at time management and can do 13/14/15 units and still get great UAI's. some people will struggle to manage 10 or 11 units. only you know what you are capable of.

it all depends on how well you can balance the work

some people prefer to consentate on 10 units because they have less work

others prefer 12+ to have a back up

i did 11 units and it worked out fine

stick with 10 units, doing 12 units means you got no confidence in yourself well thats how i see it anyway for some people they feel they will bomb out, look at dp624 he had 10units and got a uai of 100.00 lol pwnage

11 is easier, gives you more time to focus on all subjects, 13 will eat away time, im going to do 12, might do 10, not sure...

Technically I'm meant to do be 15 units this year (3 units of accelerated maths)... but it certainly doesn't feel like it. From my understanding the overall workload is meant to get a lot heavier next year (depending on your subjects too) and as many posts previous have said, it does really depend on time management skills - minimum procrastination and to be very efficient with your work time.

I would think anywhere from 11-14 units is manageable for the HSC... just depends on how you think you could do it.

yeah, 11 is great.. i recommend dropping a 2 unit one.. i have to choose to have 12 units or 10.. a much ahrder choice.. i'm wishing i could have 11 as a compromise!! weigh up your skills.. you'll probably be able to manage just fine...:):)
