Maybe not all 90+'s get their names on their list, only the best 90+'s (eg. 95-99) get on the list.

For those who have asked, the list from SMH are

State Ranks, therefore the top 5 or top 20 people/marks in the state (the amount of people depends on size of candidature).

this means they've achieved generally 95-100 as a HSC Mark.

To get a Band 6 or 90+ you do not have to be on the list of State Ranks, it's perfectly possibly to achieve 90+ in all your subjects (hence on the Premier's all rounder's list) and not have any of the subjects be a state rank.

So if anyone is worrying about not being on the list, don't worry, you have every chance of getting 90+ as a HSC result regardless.

The 90% threshold for this list is designed to prevent people from very small subjects from getting a ranking (or even first in course) with a mark not worthy of such a distinction.

yes. I am 99.9999% sure that more than 20 people got 90+ in english.
Those are just the top 20 in the state, and probably have a mark above 97 for those subjects they got listed in.

Like someone said before, those top 20 people may have all gotten 99 and you may have gotten 98 but didn't make the top 20 cut
