1) Gettin Square - "Who's paying for my bus ticket?" lmao funny shit
2) Crackerjack
3) Chopper
4)Crocodile Dundee (first two were good, 3rd was ok but nowhere near as good)
5) Reckless Kelly

picnic at hanging rock
praise
bad boy bobby
lantana
chopper

there seems to have been something of a resurgence for aussie films recently... look both ways, little fish and the magician were all solid (the latter moreso because of its budget), and the proposition and wolf creek look promising.

1. Lantana- very very very good movie
2. Little Fish- depressing but incredibly well done
3. The Proposition
4. Saw- probably the best movie of its genre ever to done by australian directors, especially with the budget they had. i doubt saw II will be anywhere near as good though, its a shame theyre even making one
5. Muriel's Wedding can't go past it

the castle - has to be the best aussie film
blurred - love it... bout teenagers going to schoolies, woo-hoo!!
takeaway - typical silly movie
thunderstruck & garage days - pretty good movies, enjoyed them both
rabbit proof fence - powerful and depressing movie, though studying it has ruined it for me

can i shoot anyone that says The Castle is one of australia's best films
i dont care if it is light hearted and humerous, thats the australian way and the castle is a unique and entertaining film. just because it didnt win cannes, doesnt mean it isnt a fabulous film.

i dont define a fabulous film as winning cannes!

But the Castle....urgh!

its so simple, we laugh at the film not with it. (or so theorists believe) - i have studied it tho, thus i may be bias towards hating it...
