has anyone seen the episode where clarkson tests the F430 and basically goes into spasms on the test track because it is so good.

the cinematography on that show just keeps getting better and better.

I love top gear!

Next week (Dec19th): In this episode, Richard takes a look at the new Ford Focus and discusses how good it is in comparison to the original. And Jeremy works out an innovative way to get hold of a Ferrari Enzo to test.

Week after (Dec26): In this episode, the team reveals the best and worst cars, while Jeremy takes the new Discovery up a decent size hill. The team also look at what the Swiss Rinspeed have come up with. Rinspeed are specialists in creating one-off cars, and they've created a car based on an A-class Mercedes that can be reduced in length at the flick of a switch and is the first hydrofoil. The Star In A Car this week is Joanna Lumley and she takes the Liana out on the track to show us what an absolutely fabulous driver she is. The teams also look at the car Keith Moon really did try to drive into a swimming pool.

Following week (Jan2): This week, the team discover that the Pagani Zonda is a decent car, for just under $950,000. The Star In A Reasonably Priced Car, Jimmy Carr, manages to knock Simon Cowell off the top spot, while an ex-Royal Range Rover once belonging to Charles and Diana gets the Restoration treatment.

Top Gear is on BBC Optus at 7:30am or 8:30am on Mondays or Tuesdays or something. I forgot the exact time and day. BTW, who watched it last night. I want that Carrera GT and the F40.

I only just remembered that it was on last night - missed the first five minutes of it.

Yes I would love an F40 as well - even to drive one would me bliss.

nedzelic, it's only replacing Mythbusters until the new Mythbusters season starts.

I think it could be condensed down into a 40min show. I just don't find the jokes quite so funny - and that superlong pre-lap interview with Geri Halliwell got on my nerves. She clearly knows nothing about cars, cannot drive, and isn't pretty enough to compensate for the first two.

EDIT: But it's a super show, aside from that.

^ They talk alot haha... but it's still an alright show. It's the only show of it's kind which I've found to have decent reviewers and decent cars.

Btw thanks for the info DaddyK. I shall wake up earlier just to watch =]

Yeh in the UK it's a primetime show and watched by quite a lot of people - the extent of its appeal is due to the "talking". Some people would have watched that episode of Top Gear just to see Geri Halliwell hideously screw her body up into a fit of choking and wheezing sounds she calls "laughing". Some of their jokes are a bit lame I agree, but you get used to them - there's not many other shows on TV I know of that do it better than Top Gear.

"Drive" and The Carshow? Pfft, you make me laugh.

Top Gear makes me laugh, bring back Mythbusters! They sound like a bunch of pommy geeks.....and they knocked the monaro and then said it was the best out of the three......such a dero program.

It's only replacing Mythbusters until the new season arrives - it's more than a fitting replacement during the non-ratings period. And trust me, you get used to the Britishness of Top Gear and it actually becomes a rather entertaining show.

It's my understanding that he is their pro track driver (a fourth party) - whose laptimes serve as a benchmark for the car's performance.
