But yes Torts is generally the same accross all the unis. however UNSW hardly does any of the old fashioned torts - UNSW teaches the old torts of assault and such in first session in foundations. From what i remember the whole of 2ns session was negligence which i was told is a better approach than usyd that seems to teach the old fashioned torts in depth at the expense of the much more relevant area of negligence.
the macq course is about 80% negligence I reckon, the rest being legal history (perhaps similar to your foundations)

inferior/inferior in perception, they may as well be the same thing in practice. ;)
