Maintaining a 5.5 is marginally harder than maintaining a 4.0 which is pretty easy to do as long as you do the work and turn up to stuff. 5.5 requires that you start assignments 2 days before theyre due, and not 1.

is the GPA scale that u guys r talking about the 7.0 GPA system?

Yeah, you needed mid to high 170's this year with good marks in section 1 and 2.

why?
do they only consider section 1 and 2? dont they look at your marks for section 3?

weighting was section 1+2+0.5x3. (section 3 was given half weighting). cutoff last year was 147 after weighing it this way for non-WS non-rural.
