Hey,

Just wondering, for people who do BComm and those who do the combined BComm degree, will both have covered the same amount of content by the end of first year? Hence, allowing one to say, transfer from Bcomm/Arts to just BComm, before majors are chosen?

Thanks =D.

You should be ok to transfer if you have done the BComm cores including flexible cores.

Subjects for Comm or Arts? I was under the impression that in 1st year Commerce (irrelevant of whether they are doing a single or combined degree, all students do their 4 core and 4 flexible courses. Is this correct?

No, you pick what courses you do. If you want to do 8 maths subjects first year then you are allowed to but you're going to get in a whole heap of trouble from the university for not following degree rules.

Actually, you don't get in trouble for not following degree rules. As long as prerequisites are met for the chosen subjects, they can be completed. It's just that if you do subjects outside your degree plan they might not be counted. The university doesn't get people in trouble for it because it's better if kids do more subjects, more money is made. They don't care if you're there for longer.
