It says on the website that a minimum WAM of 75 is required if we want to transfer to Com/Arts. I've been to faculty of arts and social sciences and one of them said it's pretty much "guaranteed" since I'm also doing com. But then when I asked the ASB student centre they said it isn't guaranteed and I do need a 75 WAM to be able to transfer. My WAM is around 72 right now and I'm worried that I might not be able to transfer. Does anyone know if the 75 WAM is a strict rule or does it depend on the overall WAMs? If it is a strict rule, is there anything I can do?

update: my wam is still below 75 but i did manage to transfer to com/arts

IMO; I think they'll let you because and you are going to a "lower" degree

There's no elitism for any certain degrees.

Well it does say minimum of 75 WAM.

However, I had a friend transfer from BIS into CIS with a low 90 ATAR after applying for transfer half way through semester 1 (all they looked at were the marks for mid sems and stuff and although there are minimum requirements on the website (my friend was doing 24 UOC in the current semester and so had less than 36 UOC; Also, my friend had an ATAR lower than the cut-off by more than 5), they let my friend transfer in).

So depending on the situation, you would really want to ask the Business faculty about an internal transfer and what they can do to regarding a transfer.

All of these cases depend on particular situations. My suggestion is to try to transfer any way (like try from now) and keep trying until you get in or change your mind or something else.

Good Luck :)

Okay, thanks. I hope they won't look at my midsem marks cause I just screwed up one of mine lol. But yeah, I might go back to student centre and see if there's anything else I can do.
