Hi Im wondering if anyone has trasferred from La Trobe & how they found the process and the awarding of academic credit. Also what GPA was needed (Probably better to state C/D/HD format than #)?

Admissions are done by UAC. They take WAM and UAI into account.

Advanced standing within the Science Faculty is done on a case to case basis. Advanced standing is based on the actual marks obtained, and the level of that course as well. I know of a few cases where people from UWS have completed Mathematics 1A, and despite the content being similar to that from UNSW's Mathematics 1A, they were only granted advanced standing for General Mathematics. The rationale behind this is that UWS and UNSW have a different quality/level of education. (read: UWS not up to UNSW standards).
