I was wandering that say i did financial advising at UWS and after one year i want to transfer to either UTS or UNSW to do say Commerce. Since those unis dont offer finacial advising would it be possible to transfer seeing as though financial advising is sort of in the area of commerce?

Also, what grades would i need to achieve in order to transfer?

They take 50/50 of your ATAR and GPA into account.
I believe that is not true (unless someone with facts correct me on this).

If you transfer after the full year, I think all universities only look at GPA instead of looking at your ATAR.

If you are looking to transfer into UNSW commerce, you are looking at around 6.0 GPA at UWS.

If you are looking to transfer into UTS commerce, probably 5.0+ GPA at UWS.

goodluck.

GPA 6.0 = 75+ in each unit you attempt.
GPA 5.0 = 65+ in each unit you attempt.

Doesnt really have to be in every unit... but average has to be 75 for a gpa of 6.0...

for example you can get High distinction in one unit.. and credit in other unit.. and itl average to Distinction (6.0).

F: 0-49 = 0
P: 50-64 = 4
C: 65-74 = 5
D: 75-84 = 6
HD: 85-100 = 7

Total divided by the number of subjects you've completed.

48/8 (a year's worth of study) = GPA of 6.0

How about Commerce @ USyd? i heard its easier to get into Usyd commerce compared to UNSW.

With the three unis of Usyd, UTS and UNSW, which of them would allow mid year transfer? and what do they take into account?

Transferring is GPA + ATAR. Not all uni's do mid year transfers, you will have to find out from the individual uni's. The GPA you need to aim for depends on what your ATAR is
