Hey guys do your trial marks have any effect if you rank well like lets say i rank well and get shitty marks and ace the hsc will i get a top atar. or will my trial marks bring me down

Trials are solely used to determine (usually) the final ranks ie They have a massive impact on your internal marks. If you get bad trial marks but ace the hsc, your bad trial marks will have no impact since the HSC exam determines your EXTERNAL MARK. Hope this answers your question.

Your question is too vague for us to offer you a sound answer. "Bad marks", "ace the HSC" and "top ATAR" are all subjective terms and we dont know what you mean by that. Also, there are a variety of other factors to consider.
