Yes the subjects matter. Each subject is scaled accordingly to it's difficulty. For example, 4 unit maths will be scaled very highly compared to general maths.

i assume you're referring to the scaling - it does to an extent, unless you get 100, in which case it'll stay 100 for subjects that aren't capped

okey i do 3 unit n at da moment i im sitting on 70% n 4 chem im sitting on 76%, would dat scale up good

impossible to say because we don't know the ranks of other people, your school rank and how hard the tests you do are;
BUT both of those subjects generally scale well, of course only if you do well...

Yes your subjects do play a major part in determining your ATAR.

BUT, if you do extremely well in "low scaling" subjects scaling won't affect you that much.

It's too late to swap subjects now for you anyway...
