get a private tutor - find some recomendations; those work out the best. I have a private tutor atm (friends of friends) and he's pretty good. plus side about having a private tutor is that you can move at your pace and you can go over whatever you feel needs to be revised (or are unsure of) while at the same time if you want to learn new content ahead of class you can do that as well.

And its alot cheaper imo.

Ontopic: Tutoring does help per se, however it's up to the student to put in effort. A teacher alone will do nothing, jsut waste your money, however tutoring can be more beneficial than self-study simply because of the reassuring presence of someone else to guide you.

A tutor alone cannot teach you ahead, you actually have to pay attention for it to work. Tutors alone will do nothing if you don't put in your own effort first.

man.
I swear you'd be like those
stereotypical asian dad's when you grow up.
or an "INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER"

kid: daddy I got a credit
dad: get a distinction, you have to put the EFFORT IN

*next year*

kid: daddy, i got distinction
dad: you should have gotten a high distinction, you have to work to your capabilities and put all your own effort in

*next year*

Kid: dad, i got a high distinction
dad: where is the full marks? PERFECT SCORE? what have i told you about working hard?
kid: fuk you dad. fuk you.
