Hey guys, so disappointed at myself, thought they asked for at least one related text and I provided two.. But it said ONE. Will I get marked down? My teacher said that they will only mark one related text and disregard the other and I will not be penalized. Is my teacher right?

You won't be penalised.

However, since you wrote about 2 related texts instead of 1, by ignoring one of your related texts, you most probably will not have enough content to make your argument strong enough. So you will probably still lose a few marks because of this :\

Nope. You get awarded marks, not deducted. Because your first RT has probably less detail than usual (ie. if you read only one), you probably wouldn't get as many marks compared to one one. Then they ignore the other.
