hey im a bit confused on this, and i was hoping someone could help me just so i know i've got it right or wrong, it seems pretty eassy tho..but yeh
what level of court are the following heard in:
- murder
- manslaughter
- assualt
- sexual assualt
- serious assualts
economic offences
- Larceny
- robbery
- public order offences
- traffic offences

well it depends on the severity of the crime.... but all crimes/cases are first heard in the local court.... summary offences are heard and tried there by a magistrate and then indictable offences have a summary hearing in the local court, where it is established whether or not its a prima facie case, and then it is sent to a higher court.... most prob the supreme court!!!!

i'm sorry but its a commital hearing not a summary hearing in the local court for an indictable offence.... sorry

As said before it does depend on the severity of the crime however usually the cases are heard as follows (for the sake of yr 12 legal studies this will probably do):
- murder-Supreme Court
- manslaughter-Supreme Court
- assualt-District Court (actually it ranges from local to supreme)
- sexual assualt-District to Supreme
- serious assualts-Supreme
-economic offences Local to Supreme
- Larceny Local ususally
- robbery Local to District
- public order offences Local
- traffic offences Local

- Larceny- local
- robbery-local to district
- public order offences- local
- traffic offences-local

*committal hearings are held in the local court, if they are successful, it usually goes to either the district or supreme, depending on aggravating or mitigating factors
