When was it? I don't remember English Standard students getting 100 UAI. The top UAI in the last 4 or 5 years was 99.90 or 99.95 UAI.
Must have been 2002-01. She is a far bit older than me. First in the state with textiles.

Are many people doing their subjects for scaling or university prerequisites?
Depends. I am not doing my subjects for neither of them. And hopefully, people do not choose subjects based on that (i.e. scaling). It will be extremely idiotic.

Wow, well done to her/him. That's an awesome UAI and she/he probably deserves it.

EDIT: realised that it was "her" and "she".

Only her Maths 2unit and Legal Studies are good for her scaling.
And the rest are not that good but in my opinion i would say 80-87.5.
And she hasn't stated her mark either.

thanks for the estimate
my marks are 80%+ for all except high 90s for maths 2unit

ok then i think you could get a UAI of 90-94 but you'll have to work hard.

Re: What UAI are you aiming for?

what could be estimated uai be? if my ranks are
1. English Standard - 1/101 (i have rec'd 100% in all of my assessment tasks, however rec'd 87% in half yearly)
2. Mathematics - 1/31 (100% in all of my topic exams, and rec'd 95% for half yearly)
3. Mathematics Extension - 1/5 (100% and 97% in topic exams and 97% for half yearly)
4. Modern History - 1/28 (100% in all assessment tasks, however 86% for half yearly)
5. Accounting - 2/30 (Already completed the HSC external exam, in which i scored a band six of 94%)
6. Business Studies - =2/62 (Hmm. I only get around 81-89% for business studies, no higher and no lower)

I go to a public school and i feel that my school may scale me down? since not everyone does excel, especially standard english, majority of the the standard english students fail... in that case, is it possible for me to even get band six in english or high band 5 such as 88-90?

Re: What UAI are you aiming for?

2007 is the "current" ranking.

2008 will be out after you do the HSC.

yea 560, thats pretty shit sry. Theres only about 600 schools in NSW.

Check with your teachers what was the highest UAI in the last few years in your school. Thats probably close.

Wow this must be like the 7th time I answered this question this week.

Your school ranking does not affect scaling and your marks directly. It merely indicates the quality of your cohort in the state. Other things might come in such as quality of education etc.

Well, congrats on the marks man! :)

Anyway, I reckon you could be looking to get about high 80s to low 90s. (And I see your school is ranked 560. I took it into account)
ie 87 - 93

However, you might just want to watch how you perform on your major assessments (half yearlys). From the info up there, you seem to have a consistency problem, watch out for that...

Marks don't matter. And I have seen tonnes of people getting 96 UAI with a combination of General Mathematics, Industrial Technology, English (Standard), Visual Arts, Geography and SOR I.
I am suddenly filled with confidence.

I do VA, Drama, Eng Adv, Eng Ext 1 and 2, General Maths and Modern History. If he can get 96, SO CAN I.
