Hey was just wondering if someone could predict my UAI. I'm at TAFE so my rankings are quite high. Here are my trial results and my final rankings, i expect to get similar-better results in the HSC.

English (Advanced) - 78% - 2nd
English (Extension 1) - 86% - 2nd
English (Extension 2) - I'm expecting between 70 and 80 - 1st
Modern History - 74% - 1st
Ancient History - 74% - 2nd
General Maths - 91% - 1st

Thanks guys. :)

What do you think i'd get if i didn't improve from the trials and got the same marks?
Also, what do you mean by school scaling?

well depending on what school you go to, BOS aligns your marks ... mainly because if you go to a good school and your entire cohort destroys a particular subject then the whole lot of you get higher marks

So what would it mean at TAFE, where most people are less capable?

who knows, it depends on your year, you can have one tafe year thats really shit, and the next that annihiliates the hsc all getting 90+ in the same tafe, its the same for every other school, james ruse can get last rank in hsc (unlikely), but it all depends on how they all go in the hsc

tafe isnt the home for "less capable" its narrow minded to think that

I don't see it as narrow minded. At my TAFE it definately is a haven for less capable students. The teachers agree, saying it's worse than it used to be. There's 3 people in my advanced english class for christ sake!
