Hey

Im wondering what my UAI prediction currently is

My school was rank around 150th last year

My marks before trials is

Std Eng - 60% Rank 9/15
Maths - 40% Rank 12/22
IPT - 75% rank 3/5
Food Tech - 70% Rank 3/3
Art - 50% Rank 18/20
Biology - 80% - Rank 6/16

I got my trials back (we did Catholic paper)

Eng - 46% came 8th
Maths - 30% came 10th
IPT - 62% came 2nd
Food - 56% came 3rd
Biology - 74% came 5th
Art - didnt count

I also heard your HSC is marked between a range of 50-100. is this true?

Thanks

Whoa from comparing our results from your school's results, Im shocked since our school is not in top 200, and our results from the Catholic paper were higher than ur cohort. (or probably your school mark way way way harder)

Im no expert but I think, ur in the range of low 70's. Improve ur maths, english and especially IPT, and I think you can probably hit 80's or higher.

at this stage somewhere in the 60's, maybe lower. your ranks are solid enough though, so there is much room for improvement. good news is that maths or art won't count for you, so it might help you to drop one of them. good luck.

Yeh Im actually surprise hearing people gettin 80 to 90% in their trial paper. But I think my school did mark the paper really hard. Like in 1 paper i lost 2 marks because my example wasnt detailed

Hearing that im in the 60s is kinda relieving actually. I thought im like 40 or below

Thanks guys

your ranks aernt that flash im afraid. Youre going to get scaled down heaps if you do average in a low scaling subject such as std english and IPT, so its best to lift up your game if you want to maximise your UAI.
So far youre probably on track for a UAI of around high 50s-low 60s, so i guess you better get a move on.

well they still have the same bands for 2 unit subjects as it was for the sc.
eg band 6- 90-100
band 5 80-89
band 4 70-79
band 3- 60-69
band 2- 50- 59
band 1- <50

for extension subjects, ie hist ext, maths ext 1 etc
e4- 45-50/50
e3- 35-44/50
e2- 25-34/50
e1- <25/50
im pretty sure thats the scale of the hsc for 2 unit and ext subjects.
