yeah, I play WoW and I was wondering if it would work on the on-campus internet. has anybody tried it?

yes it works perfectly, but you need to open this site which is the CSU proxy. This bypasses all of CSU's firewalls so u dont have any connection stuff ups. i play wow too :)

well I worked it out to be about $1.50 an hour based on the download record for my internet usage
hmmmm, although playing it for 10 hrs a week would make it $80 a month (inc game card)

I thought the uni network was 2c per mb?

Internet charges are 2.75 cents per megabyte, according to the financial section in my.csu. The only place I can think you got the 11 cents from is that it cost 11cents per photocopy (or something along those lines)

Yep, internet was 11c per mb.
And you only paid for mb's that weren't already cached on the proxy (or so they say).


But now, according to my.csu internet charges statement:
"NOTE:

Internet Charges have been reduced to 2.75 cents per megabyte for 2006 (incl GST)."

phizz is correct. Internet charges have been dropped.
