Unprecidented resource back log? (1 Viewer)

i know there have been similar post recently but i was just wondering ( this is a question to the mods or ppl who have the answer)
WHAT exactly is the reason for the 3 year backlog of resources ?( ik u guys have exams and stuff, and i know going through resources takes a LOOONGGGGG time but yea)
( i know that things are starting to get approved again im just curious)

good question. i always think about it when i look at the resources but never actually posted it.

The site was taken down a while ago, and it caused problems with the resource section. As we only have one administrator that deals with the entire site operation (and he's only been appointed after that time), it takes a while to get things going properly again. It's nearly done, as far as I'm aware, it just needs a few things ironed out.

ok i get it now, but dont every subject get its own mod to go through and acccept the sources?

Outside attacks. No real reason. Just friendly neighbour 'hackers'.

Because it's more than just accepting the sources. It's to do with the way things are sorted and appear for users. That's a coding issue.

oh, i see, but if there are still problems with coding and such, why is there still resouces being accepted atm ?

Because we can take them in and store them, it's just outputting them correctly (in the correct section) that needs fixing.

Also the date shown with the resources is the year the donor completed their HSC. So some resources which have been recently approved may have dates which are 3 or 4 years old. Unless there has been a syllabus change, these resources are still just as helpful as newer ones.

After I finish the HSC I would love to dig up all my junior to HSC stuff to help the community, hopefully the resources section will be working smoothly by then, if not, I will externally upload and make a massive thread galore

just wait until i finish my HSC thanx lovehateschool. lmaooo i wish i found out about this site earlier cause it wouldve made my life so much easier.

just one question. who is the admin responsible for all this? they must be doing alot of work trying to fix all the problems. man do i hate hackers. they kill my life and sometimes my computer

harrisony is the one responsible for fixing anything now. It was different people in charge when it went down. It's hardly an issue now, except for a few minor things here and there.

hey absolutezero do you know how long it would take for it to be up and running?

it would be good to get all the newer resources before my HSC for sure. like for eg the notes for english beloning

It would be great for everybody if they were up ASAP. But as it stands, I'm looking for an answer, but I haven't got it. When I do, I'll report back.
