Hey guys, just a question did anyone happen to make it into BCOM at UNSW with 85?

u prob wont believe me but a guy from a school got an ATAR within the 70s and managed to get into b eng/comm with heaps of bonus points

all the bonus points rofl. they did the U@UNSW conference program as well.

ye lol...I did also.....but the thing is even with those bonus points from the program I dun think it still enough to get into b eng/comm due to its high cut off

all i needed was 5.3 bonus points and with hsc plus (which was 4 already) + accepted eas, could not even manage

for the program you can get up to 10 points. there's also HSC Plus where they can get up to 5 bonus points. then then there's UAC's EAS Scheme where you can get up to 10 (?) bonus points. all up would be 25 points looool

I think 10 is max unless you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait heritage.

His referring to a conference/program UNSW set up for HSC and some pre-HSC students known as U@UNSW in which we could have gained up to 10 bonus points but we had to work for it doing different types of assessments.

what sort of scholarship? i thought scholarships were for academia/sport/music/dance or equity/financial scholarships, not to give points. I doubt someone with 75 would even get the triple A scholarship.

EAS= 5
HSC PLUS= 5. but tehn again, if youre getting 75, you wouldnt get the band 5/6s to get the points anyway

I thought EAS = 10, HSC + = 5 ? Or is it because they are both ACCESS schemes it's a total of 10?
