Agreed, but thats if you're lucky enough to have your preferred gen ed offered in summer term. Many aren't :/

Depends on your degree, gen eds are pretty much courses outside your degree say in your case business or arts subjects.

Everyone has to do gen eds, except people doing cross-faculty double degrees (e.g. Commerce / Law)
