That's correct. But to join a society for the whole year, it isn't too much. At most, realistically, about $20 to join societies for the entire year.... again this varies from club to club.sunny said:Some do some don't.

Moonlight cinema is almost over. Who goes to that anyway? Come to UNSW's Cinema under the stars. Starting at 6pm, we have a showcase from the youth film festival Reel Life. Then at 8pm a preview of the forthcoming Derailed, starring Clive Owen and Jennifer Anniston. Best of all, everything is free.

Tuesday | Comedy with Akmal Saleh
It's time to laugh. The roundhouse has everything you need for laughter on Tuesday. The night kicks off with professional theatresports, if you've never seen it before, now's a great time to see it done professionaly...comedy on the spot, that's genuinly funny. After that MC Subby Valentine (triple M) ensures a great night of comedy, with Raw comedy winner (2004) Nick Sun and Raw Comedy runner up (2005) Justin Lodge supporting evryone's favourite ethnic Akmal Saleh (glasshouse, Melbourne int. comedy festival). Come have a laugh at O-Week.

FRIDAY | O-Week Final Party featuring Butterfingers
Well, it's the last night of O-week. That means it's to party. Best to party with people who know how to do it best. Butterfingers, the original Brisbane Party boys are heading south to show us a good time. Just coming off the back of a sellout national tour (and #11 and #69 in triple j's hottest 100), the boys have agreed to do a spot just before their new album hits the stands, and they head off round the country again.
