i will really appreciate any advice coz only a few daiz left till preferences close. [sorry 4 double posting]

Why do you type 'daiz' instead of 'days'?

coz i like to write stuff as they sound, dats what i hate about the english language compared to french, italian etc.

we write O-N-E yet pronounce sumthing like WON;
all these silent letters: sychologist needing a p makes me wanna c one,
or somebody give me a 'nife


PS. i don't do this in English exams (well not any more atleast )

I have european friends that speak english as a second language and despite growing up using phonetic languages (that's the word for what you described) they still write English perfectly.

Poor excuse to look stupid.

fair enough... well English is my first language (pretty much), i guess i'm just being lazy.I didn't know it made me look stupid; I'll watch myself from now on.

Because English is a completely bastardised language using multiple sets of words (borrowed vocabularies) from different language trees.

You'll find all the words where 'ph' sounds like 'f' come from the same 'set' of words that came from a specific other historic language

In that language I would go out on a limb and assume that the pronounciation would be consistent...

Can't talk about 'ph' specifically but I know that 'ch' for instance came through in the language strongly from a french/norman influence

(Think about how the french would pronounce words like 'chamber')

hmmm... are you saying that based on anything, or just a prejudice. coz it's my first preference. i actually dont like the sounds of it as well, but $$ + lifestyle.
