i have an assessment tomorrow and found this while revising

prove that sin-1x = cosec-1(1/x)

how do you prove that?

and there was a similar one that asked you to draw a graph of cotx then use it to obtain a graph of the inverse, then write down a definition of inverse cot. what does it mean by definition?

thanks guys!

let cosec-1(1/x)=θ
cosecθ=1/x
1/sinθ=1/x
x=sinθ
sin-1x=θ
=cosec-1(1/x) QED
